The Class A Industrial Electrician is responsible for performing complex electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work within a manufacturing environment. This role requires strong technical expertise, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and reliability of equipment and facilities.
Perform complex electrical work involving building systems and industrial manufacturing equipment with minimal supervision
Diagnose causes of electrical malfunctions and complete necessary repairs, including emergency repairs
Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and wiring throughout plant, office, and outdoor facilities
Work with motors, transformers, switches, switch panels, breakers, safety switches, micro switches, and programmable controllers
Install conduit and perform general electrical maintenance as required
Support electrical systems on production equipment such as presses, molding equipment, and fabrication machinery
Maintain and repair electrical systems on material-handling equipment, including forklifts, batteries, and battery chargers
Maintain facility systems including lighting, paging systems, and time clock systems
Replace lighting fixtures and bulbs as needed
Monitor and enforce safe work practices, proper use of safety devices, and good housekeeping standards
Remain alert to hazardous conditions and take corrective action when necessary
Maintain inventory of electrical supplies and communicate material needs to supervision
Perform work both indoors and outdoors, including climbing ladders and handling heavy tools or components
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Class A Electrician experience confirmed in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Strong working knowledge of electrical circuits, systems, and industrial controls
General mechanical knowledge preferred
Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot complex systems
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
Physically capable of lifting equipment, using hand tools, and working at heights
