Job Title: Mold Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift)

Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mold Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for the maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and preventative upkeep of production molds to ensure optimal performance, product quality, and production efficiency. The ideal candidate will have experience working with injection molds, tooling, and precision maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
Schedule
Training Period (1st Shift):
- Monday – Friday
- 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Regular Schedule (2nd Shift):
- Monday – Friday
- 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Rate: $28.93 – $30.28 per hour
- 7% Shift Premium for hours worked on 2nd Shift
- 80 Hours of Vacation annually (prorated based on hire date)
- 40 Hours of Health, Safe & Personal Time annually (prorated based on hire date)

Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and modifications on molds and tooling.
- Diagnose mold-related issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble molds according to established procedures.
- Repair worn or damaged mold components using precision measuring tools and machining equipment.
- Maintain mold maintenance records and documentation.
- Support production teams by responding to tooling and mold issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure molds meet quality standards and production requirements.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and manufacturing best practices.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to improve mold performance and reliability.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
- Previous experience in mold maintenance, tool and die, injection molding, or related manufacturing environments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments and maintenance tools.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with plastic injection molding equipment and tooling.
- Tool & Die certification or related technical training.
- Welding, machining, or fabrication experience.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and lean manufacturing principles.
