Tool & Die Maker – Journeyman Level (Full-Time) Pay: $35.03 – $44.79 per hour Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: Day Shift (flexibility as needed) Location: On-site manufacturing facility
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker (Journeyman A Level) to build, repair, and maintain precision tools, dies, fixtures, gauges, and production tooling. This role supports manufacturing operations by improving tooling performance, minimizing downtime, and ensuring high-quality output. The ideal candidate has strong CNC and manual machining experience, excellent blueprint reading skills, and a passion for precision craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
Build, repair, and maintain tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges
Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications
Set up and operate CNC and manual machine tools (lathes, mills, grinders)
Program CNC machines as required
Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges
Troubleshoot tooling issues and perform repairs to minimize downtime
Perform preventive maintenance on tooling and machines
Work closely with production and engineering teams
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Completed apprenticeship or equivalent experience preferred
5+ years of journeyman-level tool & die experience
Strong CNC machining and setup experience
Ability to read blueprints and CAD drawings
Experience with precision measurement tools
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Lift up to 50–60 lbs as needed
