Title: National Accounts Sales Manager
Location: Remote
Compensation: Base + Commission - Highly Competetive
Position Summary
We are seeking a National Accounts Sales Manager to drive sales growth and manage relationships with large national accounts. This role will focus on developing and executing strategic growth initiatives, participating in regional and national RFP opportunities, and building a strong pipeline of customers.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing high-level customer relationships, developing national sales strategies, and collaborating cross-functionally with operations, sales leadership, and marketing teams to maximize revenue growth and customer retention.
Core Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Assist leadership in developing and implementing growth-focused sales strategies and action plans.
- Drive execution of sales initiatives to achieve annual revenue targets and expand market presence through existing and new customer relationships.
- Identify short- and medium-term growth opportunities with strategic customers and target accounts.
Account Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for national accounts, ensuring strong customer satisfaction and successful execution of service agreements.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Maximize customer volume and revenue opportunities through strategic account development.
RFP Management & Proposal Development
- Manage and participate in regional and national RFP opportunities.
- Ensure timely, competitive, and accurate proposal submissions.
- Maintain visibility into upcoming RFP opportunities and proactively develop relationships ahead of bid cycles.
Sales Reporting & Market Analysis
- Maintain accurate reporting on sales activity, customer pipelines, revenue performance, and territory analytics.
- Monitor market trends, customer activity, competitor pricing, and service offerings.
Marketing & Sales Presentations
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop compelling sales presentations and customer-focused strategies.
- Tailor messaging and presentations based on industry verticals and customer needs.
CRM Management & Process Improvement
- Maintain CRM systems with accurate customer information, activity tracking, and pipeline updates.
- Support the development and management of customer contracts, pricing documentation, and insurance requirements.
Operational Coordination
- Partner with operations and sales leadership to ensure pricing expectations, margins, and customer requirements align with company objectives.
- Coordinate with local and regional teams to support strategic growth initiatives and customer retention efforts.
Professional Development
- Stay current on industry trends, sales methodologies, and best practices through ongoing education and professional development.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management with a proven track record managing national or strategic accounts
- Strong ability to develop and execute sales strategies in a fast-paced environment
- Proven success driving the sales cycle from prospecting through closing
- Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills
- Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Ability to travel approximately 15–20% regionally and overnight as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred
- Previous experience in a sales leadership or strategic account management role
- Experience developing and managing national sales strategies and recurring revenue accounts
- Additional language skills are a plus
- Knowledge of service-based, industrial, construction, safety, or facilities-related industries preferred
