Supply Chain Manager

Position Profile:
The Supply Chain Manager has primary responsibility for establishing, implementing, and directing all aspects of Planning for Savannah Operations. Oversees the scheduling and raw material management functions, including the creation and management of processes that ensure company product/service quality standards are met for all company products and identifies process improvement opportunities. The Supply Chain Manager leads efforts with 
cross-functional teams to improve processes across Savannah Operations.   
esponsibilities include, but are not limited to: 
  • Coordinates and communicates cross functionally with Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Finance to incorporate and maintain customer and business requirements into Production Planning.
  • Directs the activity of the Production Department to ensure operational excellence in master scheduling, material deliver and input/output control to achieve exceptional performance to customer commitments.
  • Oversees all outsourced manufacturing activities to ensure coordination with and execution to the master schedule.
  • Measures and communicates supplier delivery metrics.
  • Measures and communicates operations plan schedule attainment and master schedule attainment, and initiates root cause problem solving to analyze variability and improve performance
  • Designs, measures and communicates metrics that track the effectiveness of production planning and manufacturing execution.
  • Coaches and develops all members of the Production Planning, Shipping and Receiving and MET Lab teams through training, mentoring and the development of consistent planning tools.
  • Develops and maintains tools that will provide visibility to shortages and prioritize requirements.
  • Analyzes and troubleshoots problems in planning and execution, and generates alternatives to resolve both internal and external processing constraints.
  • Complies with all EHS rules required for the work environment.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing direct reports.
Preferred Qualifications:
•             Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Engineering, Logistics, Production Planning or Sales; or MBA from an accredited institution.
•             Experience in the automotive or aerospace industry.
•             Minimum of 3 years of experience interfacing with clients/suppliers.
•             Experience with querying databases and analytics.
•             Six Sigma/APEX or any similar/relevant certification.
•             Experience with lean manufacturing principles
•             3 years of experience with sales and operations planning
