Production Maintenance Operator
Location: Villa Rica, GA
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour depending on experience.
Position Type: Direct Hire Full Time.
The Production Maintenance Operator is a hybrid between a machine operator and someone who can also conduct preventative maintenance and light repairs.
Duties Include:
  • Operates production machines at expected standards in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Inspects machines to ensure all safety mechanisms are working properly before operation.
  • Checks machines to verify that settings match the product run using a graphical interface.
  • Reviews daily schedule and properly prepares to meet production requirements.
  • Communicates effectively with material handlers to ensure line is supplied for proper line setup.
  • Communicates with line associates to ensure proper line setup and schedule execution.
  • Acts as the owner and is accountable for team performance.
  • Monitors and maintains high product quality.
  • Collaborates with peers and other team leaders to ensure cross functional communication and avoidance of errors.
  • Performs all work in accordance with OSHA regulations, safety standards, rules, regulations and practices of the facility.
  • Maintains and repairs assigned machines, and equipment.
  • Performs regular PM’s on equipment to ensure good working order.
  • Troubleshoots and makes repairs to electrical systems and components.
  • Uses various types of testing equipment, hand tools and computerized equipment to diagnose problems and affect repairs.
  • Documents all completed work as required by the manager or supervisor.  
  • Performs other duties as needed or required.
Qualifications Include:
  • U.S. Military Veteran or family member preferred.
  • At least 3 years experience operating production machines and making minor repairs including electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Good reading and comprehension skills.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, push, bend, lift and pull throughout your shift as necessary.
