F-15 Egress Instructor - OCONUS

Location: Imperial Beach, CA, United States
Instructors will train foreign (Saudi Arabia) military students to produce qualified technicians in their assigned specialties who are able to maintain aircraft systems, subsystems, support equipment, and/or provide logistics support and expertise with little or no supervision. Training shall provide students specialty Upgrade Training to elevate skills from 3-level to 5-level, 5-level to 7-level on F-15SA aircraft, GE engines, and associated support services for the following specialty: Egress Systems
 
 
Tasks and Responsibilities:
 
Perform On-the-Job Training (OJT), administer Career Development Courses as required, and teach Field Training Detachment courses as required to upgrade RSAF 3-level technicians to 5-level technicians, 5-level technicians to 7-level technicians, and perform other related duties as assigned.
 
The upgrade training will require hands-on demonstration and repair on and off the airframe or equipment as required for core and work center tasks in the Career Field Education and Training Plan (CFETP).
 
Maintains aircraft egress systems including ejection seats, canopies, hatches, and modules; explosive components; electro-explosive devices (EED); subsystems; and related support equipment (SE). Advises on and solves installation, maintenance, and repair problems by studying schematic and technical publications. Diagnoses malfunctions and recommends corrective action. Implements maintenance and safety policies for egress systems and integral egress system components to include personnel parachute assemblies. Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on egress systems. Removes and installs egress systems. Ensures egress explosive cartridge activated devices (CAD), pressure activated devices (PAD), and EEDS are safe and disarmed prior to performing maintenance. Performs operational and functional tests of egress systems, subsystems, and components using test equipment and test kits. Applies corrosion control procedures to escape systems and related components. Operates and maintains related SE. Uses the automated maintenance system to monitor maintenance trends, analyze equipment requirements, maintain equipment records, document maintenance actions, and time change database.
 
Performs integrity inspections of the escape system. Inspects egress systems, subsystems, and components for safety, security, and serviceability. Inspects and determines serviceability of CAD, PAD and EED devices based on shelf and service life limits. Uses and disposes of hazardous waste and materials according to environmental standards.
 
 
Required educational/skills background:
 
High School Diploma or equivalent.
 
Minimum 5 years previous experience and 7-level on F-15 egress systems.
 
Previous instructor qualification highly desired.
