Entry Level and Experienced Auto Mechanics

Location: Brunswick, GA
Auto Mechanic - Get paid to become a BMW Certified Technician 
  • 2-3 years experience as an Automotive Mechanic/Technician in a full-service dealership or service center that uses advanced technology to diagnose, repair and maintain vehicles.
  • Have computer driven diagnostics experience and are technical skilled at repairing high performance vehicles. It is not a requirement to have BMW experience.   
  • Clean and Valid Driver’s License**
  • Clean Background Check with no Felonies**
  • Reliable Transportation to and from work
  • Ability to work from 7:00 AM - 3:45 PM Monday - Friday
  • Ability to work overtime Monday - Friday (7:00 AM - 5:45 PM) and Saturday 7:00 AM - 3:45 PM as Needed
**TWIC Card is a plus, but is not mandatory.  However, you will have to qualify and acquire a TWIC immediately upon hire and you will be required to keep it on you at all times while working within the port.

TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES (Training Provided on Manufacturer Specific Procedures)

  • Perform work as described on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with BMW factory and BMW Center standards
  • Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunctions, and recommend/perform appropriate repairs
  • Examine vehicle to identify necessary repair or maintenance items that may not be included on the repair order, and communicate to Team Leader
  • Communicate with the Parts Department to obtain needed parts
  • Notify Team Leader immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined on repair order is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed by the time promised
  • Clearly and accurately document all work performed
  • Road test vehicles as required, or refer to the inspection technician as appropriate
  • Attend and successfully complete factory training as required by factory or BMW Center
  • Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins
  • Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
  • Experience with BMW vehicles highly preferred, but not required
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
  • Basic mechanical skills
  • Manual dexterity
  • Provide documentation confirming requested information on employment application.
  • Individuals with experience at independent shops specializing in European cars are encouraged to apply
  • ASE certification a plus but not required
