Shipping and Receiving Supervisor
Location: Green Cove Springs, FL
Pay rate: $16.00 - $18.50 per hour.
Monday-Friday, 50-hour work with overtime pay.
We are seeking an individual who oversees the accuracy of all orders in preparation for prompt shipment and prepares records of receipt of incoming material and equipment.
Prepares bill of lading for each shipment and checks/records all items loaded for shipment
Posts shipments to customer orders and calculates balance to be shipped
Upon completion of shipment, closes out orders and forwards document to production planning and accounting departments
Notifies Plant Manager when discrepancies occur, over-shipments or substitutions have been made
Maintains other shipping records such as goods returned, returnable pallets, etc.
On received goods, check and counts all items unloaded from railroad cars, trucks or trailers
Verifies suppliers’ count and reports discrepancies to carriers and to Plant Manager
Obtains information for damage claims on in-transit damages
Moving materials on the shipping dock with a hand truck.
When necessary, assists with loading and unloading cargo using a forklift.
Other duties as needed or directed.
Military Veteran or family member preferred but not required.
High School graduate or equivalent.
Must have experience operating a forklift.
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Ability to walk, stand, push and pull, sit, reach, stoop, climb or kneel as required during their shift.
Must have office and clerical skills such as making computer entries, doing paperwork, answering and responding to telephone calls and organizing and prioritizing work flow.
Must have a valid Driver’s License.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
