Northeast Regional Sales Engineer - Remote

Title: Regional Sales Engineer
Location: Remote - Northeast Region
Compensation: $100k + Commission

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Regional Sales Engineer to drive growth within the civil and commercial High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) infrastructure market. The ideal candidate will serve as the technical bridge between our customers and internal teams, ensuring our HDPE solutions meet project requirements for large culverts, drainage systems, trenchless rehabilitation, and stormwater containment applications.

You will collaborate with engineering professionals, contractors, and distributors, while working closely with cross-functional teams—product engineering, sales, and supply chain—to support the successful delivery of high-performance HDPE pipe solutions that meet customer needs, industry standards, and evolving market demands.


Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Liaison
    Act as the primary technical interface between the company and engineering professionals, contractors, municipalities, utilities, and distribution partners.
  • Design-Phase Project Support
    Customize HDPE product recommendations according to project specifications, load requirements, hydraulic performance targets, environmental conditions, and pipe installation methodologies.
  • Lead Generation & Market Influence
    Identify high-value regional projects (culverts, roadway drainage, land development, tunneling/lining, stormwater containment) and proactively influence design specifications toward HDPE adoption.
  • Sales Engineering Outreach
    Present product capabilities, technical advantages, and long-term cost/maintenance benefits to DOT agencies, civil firms, and contractors.
  • Project Installation Support
    Provide onsite technical assistance, troubleshooting, and installation guidance; serve as the go-to expert for field engineering inquiries throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Specification Writing & Submittals
    Write and review specifications, support bid documents, and collaborate directly with designers and customers to ensure compliance, project success, and durability of installed systems.
  • Internal Collaboration
    Work with product engineering, sales leadership, and supply chain to ensure accurate proposals, resolve technical concerns, and maintain availability of required product lines.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Engineering background (civil, mechanical, structural, or related discipline preferred; degree strongly preferred).
  • Proven experience in a technical sales, field engineering, or infrastructure product role, ideally within HDPE piping, civil drainage, trenchless rehab, or water management markets.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in technical terms with engineers, contractors, DOT reviewers, and municipal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and specification-interpretation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently, drive revenue, and support emerging markets in a startup or growth-stage environment.
  • Working knowledge of industry standards such as AASHTO, ASTM, DOT specifications, hydraulic modeling, and civil layout considerations is a plus.

Reporting Structure
The Regional Sales Engineer will report directly to the Commercial Director.
