Manufacturing Production Planner / Purchasing, & Procurement

Location: Jacksonville, FL
Department: Operations
Reports To: Director of Operations
Compensation: $100K (Base Salary + Profit-Sharing Bonus)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing and Production Planner to oversee procurement activities, inbound logistics, inventory coordination, and supplier management for our manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for ensuring materials are available to meet production schedules while optimizing cost, quality, and supplier performance.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong communication with internal and external partners, and bring a proactive, hands-on approach to supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound raw materials, packaging, and components to support daily production requirements
• Maintain production scheduling aligned with inventory levels and vendor timelines
• Issue, track, and manage purchase orders to ensure accurate and timely replenishment
• Work with carriers and vendors to monitor shipment status and resolve delays
• Conduct cost analysis, supplier evaluations, and performance tracking
• Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory documentation
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to sourcing, vendor management, and supply chain efficiency

Qualifications

• Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, production planning, or supply chain (manufacturing preferred)
• Strong understanding of scheduling and inventory management systems
• Proficiency in Excel; ability to create reports and analyze data
• Strong negotiation and vendor relationship skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with operations, production, and logistics teams
